The Past Tense tugas 3


The Simple Past Tense : S+V2+O

1.      I drank Delicious Milk Last Night
2.      She Drove a car last day
3.      She Had problem last week
4.      The monkey hung on the my home last week
5.      She Held Stick last night
6.      She Kept Friend from  bad person last day
7.      I  learned Biology last week
8.      I completed The National exam last year
9.      He lost at the Jungle last week
10.  She Met with teacher last month

The Past Continouse Tense : S+ was/were + verb-ing + O
1.      He was not learning Spanish yesterday.
2.      I was watching TV at 10 o’clock last night.
3.      We were playing football yesterday afternoon.
4.      When Kalina came home, Mother was cooking in the kitchen.
5.      I was reading a magazine while my father was repairing our car.
6.      While Lili was washing her clothes, Leo was playing games.
7.      The computer was running when it suddenly stopped.
8.      Rani was frying eggs when Mila called her.
9.      At 7 o’clock I were studying English with my private teacher.
10.  I were finding the key while I moved the furniture.

The Past Perfect Tense : S + had + V3 + O
1.      They had gone to bed by ten o’clock.
2.      I had not eaten when she came.
3.      Had the cat killed the parrot?
4.      By the time I arrived, Jack had already gone to the bed.
5.      I was glad that I had caught the early bus.
6.      Emma went to France last week. Before that, she had never been outside Indonesia.
7.      When Susan had done her shopping, she went to visit her sister.
8.      As soon as we had done our last exam, we all went out to a club.
9.      When I got home, I found that Joe had painted his room.
10.  She had completed the preparations before noon.

The Past Perfect Continous Tense : S + had been + verb-ing + O

1.      I had been reading a book for two hours when he arrived.
2.      She had not been sleeping when he walked in.
3.      Had you been waiting long before the taxi arrived?
4.      I found my keys yesterday. I had been looking for them for days.
5.      We had been sleeping for two hours when someone knocked on our door.
6.      The man had been working in the fields, so they were exhausted.
7.      Malik had been waiting you for 30 minutes
8.      Rauf had been staying in Kendari
9.      Yaumi had been working hard all day in the campus yesterday

The Present Continouse Tense :
1.     My friends and I are eating in the Susan’s house because it is her mother’s birthday
2.     We are selling lemon juice and the money that we got will be donated to the orphanage
3.     My grandfather loves bread very much, he is learning how to make a delicious bread every week
4.     After school we are not taking another course because we are too tired
5.     But you are not saying anything about the farewell party so I didn’t prepare anything for it
6.     I can’t study if I am not turning on the music. Am I disturbing you if I turn on the music?

The Present Perfect Tense

4.      The students have finished their examination, now they are waiting for the result
5.      I don’t know why they have not arrived, they should have been here now
6.      I have not watched the newest movie in 21
7.      Have you drank your milk before going to school?
8.      Has mother asked the house maid to clean the garden?
9.      Has the rain stopped now?

The Present Perfect Continous Tense
1.     She has been announcing the important message to all of us
2.     Tomorrow is my test and I have been studying for three hours but I still don’t understand the materials
3.     I have been boiling the water maybe if you want to make a hot coffee
4.     You have just been burying your dog and I am sorry for that
5.     You must be thirsty because you have been dancing for two hours
6.     We have not been travelling to the Lombok because we are too busy to go that far
7.     Tom and Marry have not been choosing their department because they are confused
8.     I think he is asleep since he has not been sleeping because of the task
9.     Have I been studying for three hours but I still don’t understand the materials?
